SS'14 Edit : How Two Live

The sun has got its hat on, and our favourite Aussies are coming out to play! On a rare trip to London, the eccentric sisters from blogger bible How Two Live dropped by our Carnaby St. store to raid the rails and talk seasonal style. Jess and Stef Daddon are known for their creative approach to accessorising and fearless pattern clashing, so who better to edit our SS14 designs. We took the little globetrotters on an adventure to chat treasure hunting, cartoons and just where do they find such amazing shades? --------------------------------- How did How Two Live begin? HTL started a year and a half ago, when Stef moved to Paris for six months. We wanted a way to keep in contact across the world, and share our latest wardrobe additions. A blog seemed like something fun and a little different. What inspires and informs your fashion taste? Our super fashionable grandmother, all things Kawaii, the cartoon character Rainbow Brite, actual rainbows, and anything shiny. You seem to favour a really brave colourful look, what draws you to graphic printed clothing ? When we started the blog we realised colour would make our photographs so much more lively. People often tell us that our outfits make them smile, and if you can brighten someone’s day a little with what you’re wearing, why not? Have you long been a follower of Lazy Oaf? Our love affair with Lazy Oaf has been going strong for a couple of years now. We adore the bright and quirky prints, for a minute there we thought someone had crawled inside our minds and created these clothes especially for us! You’ve mastered working as a duo, but have you always embraced such sisterly love? We have this home video where our mum has the camera on cute little baby Jess, and Stef is dancing around in the background yelling ‘look at me, look at me, mum!’ It obviously took some adjusting for one of us…but we became best friends pretty quickly. We’re constantly getting asked if we’re twins which we kind of love – sometimes we just say yes because for some odd reason people get insanely excited ...twin fetish!? We love your focus on knock out accessories! Your sunglasses collection always steals the 
show. How do you find such unique items? We are big online shoppers. We love that the internet gives you access to everything from big US department stores to local Tokyo boutiques. It’s all about finding your favourites and checking back frequently. We also pair platforms with everything, we’re kind of upset that they’re so on-trend right now because that means they’ll eventually go out, and we’ll be those washed up spinsters still wearing them. Which were your favorite pieces from today and why? The ‘My Collection Jacket’ (coming soon...) is so retro we’re obsessed, and we are dying for the ‘Fat Joes Sweater’, the pastel colours are incredible. When we find pieces we love we tend to live in them. Also the fruit prints they’re so cute! Any top tips to help us glide seamlessly into the new season? Summer is the time to take advantage of colour so there are no excuses! If you usually tend to stick to the blacks and whites, try starting with some fun nail art or some adorable Lazy Oaf patterned socks. What would be your advice to any aspirational young bloggers out there?
