Greatest Gifts EVER
I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree. Who are you trying to kid Mariah - presents are undoubtedly the best thing about Christmas which is why we have saved them until last. Find out what us Oaf girls consider to be our best Christmas presents of alllll time. ALEX: Yellow Trampoline This is me having the best Christmas ever on my shiny new trampoline aged three! ELLIE: Electric Blanket My Nana bought me this last year, there is nothing like getting into an already warm, toastie bed, it's utter bliss. Some people claim they enjoy getting in bed when the sheets are freezing cold- this is utter tosh, everyone loves a warm bed, fact! ZOE: Karaoke Machine Me and my two sisters got this about 13 years ago. It had a cassette tape with instrumental versions of songs - the best was probably the Grease megamix. We all had to sing into the one microphone, fights broke out regularly over who sang which part, and I now hate karaoke with a passion.... but it was such a fun present and I still have happy memories of it. GEMMA: Sindy's House I made my poor dad tackle making this on Christmas day but it was well worth it - I loved how most of the furniture was made from paper, so durable... KATIE: Petit Post Office The photos don't really do it justice here but it was the most amazing thing ever - really realistic with its own telephone and everything so I could pretend to be boss! JERRY - Rugrats Dolls Imagine being a 6 year old where the highlight of you week was watching The Rugrats on Live and Kicking and spying some amazing toys that you thought were made especially for the BBC only to find the exact ones under your tree on Xmas day?! Well this is what happened to me and I screamed so loud that my neighbour Sid started banging on the walls. There is video evidence but unfortunately I couldn't get hold of it. Oh well here they are in all their glory - you can see the collection has somewhat expanded since. SHEVONE: Atari Computer I got this the same year I got my first bra - I clearly wasn't ready to a be a real woman quite yet! It came with this really good game where you have to name all the capital cities that I was particularly good at. Also does anyone remember Atmosfear? Gemma and Gill hold very fond memories of playing this on Christmas day. What an eclectic mix eh! Please let us know any of your best/worst presents. x
