2012 has been a big year for us at Lazy Oaf. We've been super heroes, we've traveled the world, we've got starstruck more times than we're willing to admit. It's definitely been a lot of hard work but we've had more fun than ever before.
So just before we enter the new year, we wanted to give you a run down of the top 12 things to happen to us in 2012. Look out - you might be included!
1. WE CAN BE HEROES
Climbing up 8 flights of stairs and getting a good dose of vertigo was all worth while as this shot of our Batman Bodysuit by Viktor Vauthier has become our most viral photograph to date. To celebrate the release of the Dark Knight Rises film earlier this summer, we teamed up with Warner Bros to create a limited edition Batman Collection which saw us uniting batmen and batgirl's worldwide. The collection was such a hit that we've lined up more collaborations like this for 2013 so watch this space.
2. GOING LOCO FOR GOING LOGO
As a fashion brand it's always exciting to spot celebs wearing your designs but no one could have prepared us for the Cheryl Cole Effect. Lazy Oaf made front page tabloid news for the the first time when this pop princess stepped out in our sell-out Going Logo Bodycon Dress. And when Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson was papped in the same design the following week things went even crazier with online polls asking us to rate who looks best. You both get a big thumbs up from us gals.
3. CATWALKING

We might not have made it onto the runway at Fashion Week but 2012 saw Lazy Oaf debuting our very first catwalk show at our
Batman Collection Launch Party. This took place across a rainbow light up dance floor surrounded by balloons accompanied by live music from grunge girl band
Throwing Up. You can watch the video by

4. NUTS FOR NUTTY

When our designer Gemma first showed us this shirt design we thought she was nuts, but it turns out so are all of you too!
Rizzle Kicks singer Harley Alexander-Sule wore it all summer long, Hollywood actor
James Franco wore it in forthcoming film
Spring Breakers and Midnight Beast boy Stefan even wore it to meet Prince Charles. In fact we liked the print so much that we also styled it on girls and turned it into a
tote bag!
5. WOULD YOU LIKE A PIZZA OF MY PIZZA?

Our previous store manager Ellie was just having a laugh when she took this photo in our London shop but over a year on and it has become our most blogged about photo to date with nearly 200,000 notes on
Tumblr. Renamed the '
Friendship Pizza Necklace' by many of you, this pepperoni pendant has sold out time and time again. If you haven't managed to pick up a slice yet then fear not as we're getting more back in stock in 2013.
6. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
Masha Mel
Viktor Vauthier
Bella Howard
As a visual and colouful brand who are heavily based online, the way we shoot our collections is incredibly important and this year has been no exception. Shooting in various locations across London from record stores to 17th century public houses, we have teamed up with top photographers including
Viktor Vauthier and
Masha Mel working with international models, stylists and make-up artists. We even shot our forthcoming Summer '13 Lookbook in New York launching in April next year.
7. OAF-AGRAM

This year, a bit late off the mark, we set up our Instagram giving us the opportunity to share the daily going ons of our office and shop life. Make sure you follow us at
@lazyoafs or share your Lazy Oaf photos with us with a
#lazyoaf.
8. YOU LAZY CATS

Nothing beats getting to see how all of you across the globe are wearing our designs and thanks to the rise in social media, this year we have got to see more Lazy Oaf's than ever before. In fact we've spotted so many good outfits that we have started sharing them on in a special folder on our
Facebook Fanpage. If you want to show us how you're wearing Lazy Oaf then be sure to send images to
press@lazyoaf.com.
9. GLOBE TROTTERS

This year team oaf have really got around. We've exhibited at trade shows in New York, Las Vegas, Paris, Berlin & Florence, visited stockists in Korea and found fabrics in China & Hong Kong. We've eaten more burgers than Ronald McDonald, tried food that we'll never try again and met some pretty amazing people along the way. To anyone we've met this year HEY / HALLO / BONJOUR / NI HAO / AN NYOUNG / CIAO.
10. THE SHOP

This year we have continued to welcome you all into our Fouberts Place Store with collection launch parties, discount evenings and even a Movember Nail Salon. We love holding events in store as it is the one opportunity we have to meet all of you, and what a great bunch you are. Unfortunately this month we will be closing the doors of our store and moving to a new location. More details will follow tomorrow...
11. READ ALL ABOUT IT

2012 hasn't just been a year for Lazy Oaf shoots, we've also sent our designs out to be shot by some of our favourite publications and we have certainly been impressed with the results. Above you can see some of our top picks including Lazy Oaf shoots by
C-Heads, Volt and
Fiasco Magazines. Designs also hit the pages of some of our fave glossies including Elle, Grazia, Guardian, Nylon and WAD to name a few.
12. THERE IS NO I IN TEAM

It has been a busy old year for us at Lazy Oaf and there is no way we would be able to function as a brand if it wasn't for our dedicated team. And this year we have added to that by welcoming three brand new members of staff to our office; our Wholesale Assistant Manager
Paul Pellow, Production Co-Ordinator
Aimee Kahl and our Accounts Manager
Joanie Bunting all helping to make life at Lazy Oaf that little bit easier. We'd also like to give a shout out to our interns Jake, Maria, Millie and Lucy who have lent a helping hand throughout the year.
So that was 2012 - what a year eh? But stay with us in 2013 as we have a whole lot of surprises up our sleeves. Get ready as we're gonna make it rain.
