See You Next Tuesday: Ronnie's Wellies, Lucky Charms and Disney Kicks
Welcome to this weeks latest installment of See You Next Tuesday where the Lazy Oaf team fill you in on the things that have caught our eye or got us talking in the office over the past 7 days. This we have been L-O-Ling over anti-Glasto tweets, dining off Lucky Charms, dreaming of Disney shoes and gasping over hoarders. 1. INTERNET SENSATIONS: #glastonbury. Even if you don't watch TV, listen to the radio or own a computer, there is no way you could've avoided knowing that the UK's biggest festival Glastonbury happened last weekend. While the BBC shared the performance highlights, highlights for us came from our Twitter feeds. While we don't advocate hating, we do love a bit of classic English cynicism - see some of the best tweets from the weekend over on thepoke.co.uk. We also admired Ronnie Wood's clashing pink/red combo pictured above. 2. FOOD FAVOURITES: They're Magically Delicious. Children of the nineties will remember begging your parents to let you get a box of Lucky Charms after seeing the advert on TV. Luckily our mums said no else we would all be walking around with dentures in our mid-twenties. However, this week we have been out on the hunt for this rainbow coloured, E-numbered cereal for our special photo shoot tomorrow. While supermarkets stopped stocking the cereal years ago, London's American sweety store Cyber Candy have got some in stock. Lazy Oaf coming to a dentist near you... 3. WINDOW SHOPPING: Disney Does it Better. It is no secret that we are huge Disney fans here at Lazy Oaf so this week we have been celebrating Vault by Vans reissuing Disney character prints on trainers from the early 80's. We're currently trying to pick between Donald and Mickey although getting our hands on a pair will be tough, we've already had trouble getting anywhere near the Vault by Vans website. 4. MEDIA MATTERS: House of Hoarders. As fellow Londoners, the story that's shocked us in the newspapers this week is the guy who bought a house in a blind auction for £450k only to see it for the first time and find out it looked like this. Yep that's what 40 years of hoarding toys, clothes, books and furniture across 10 rooms looks like. We just hope Britain's Biggest Hoarders get down there before they clean it up.
