Porky Prints : Illustration Auction

To celebrate the launch of our all new capsule collection we said "What's Up Doc" to some of our favourite young illustrators. Each artist was asked to re-imagine one of their favourite Looney Tunes personalities in their own unique aesthetic. We raided through early archive clips, toy collections, and revisited the holy grail of cartoonography... Space Jamm! So whether its bug eyed bunnies, suave skunks or "dethpicable" daffy ducks, we've got it covered. Now for the exciting bit. Each one of a kind piece has been made into an A3 giclee print, exclusively available to purchase in conjunction with the online auction app Depop. Kyle Platts : Porky Pig “This depiction of Porky Pig explores the idea of an alternative dimension, where he is an openly homosexual body builder that uses steroids and hangs out in late 90's New York doing poppers on rooftops" 2. : Jack Hudson : Varied. “You can probably tell I really enjoyed illustrating this! I strayed a little from the brief and ended up illustrating a few of my favourites meeting face to face with their 'real life' self in a surreal environment" 3. Sam Coldy : Marvin the Martian "Marvin is one of my favourite cartoon characters and his emblematic helmet was too good for me to not add some texture and colour. Hopefully he now has something that’s more fitting for outer space"  4. Clay Hickson : Pepé le Pew "I was intrigued by Pepé's ruthless and borderline disturbing passion. This piece was an attempt to convey the raw sexuality that is Pepé" 5. Lynnie Zulu : Lola Bunny "I remember seeing Lola in Space Jamm and she instantly made an impression. I loved how her character is a mixture of archetypes;  femme fatale meets badass tomboy. Overall you can't beat her sass and her moves are killer!" 6. Linnéa Teljas-Puranen : Road Runner “I've always found the American desert landscapes of the Road Runner chase scenes inspiring. Meep meep!" 7. Sam Taylor : Tweety Pie & Sylvester "Tweety Pie grew up, he wanted to start a new life but was constantly under attack from Sylvester. He decided the only option was to end it once and for all" 8. Lawrence Slater : Daffy Duck & Bugs Bunny "I wanted to create something fun and bold, two people are going to a party dressed up as bugs bunny and daffy duck. I thought this was relevant as it is approaching Halloween" 9. Grace Helmer : Road Runner "I chose road runner because he has a cute face and I like his beeps. Watching Looney Tunes again was actually really inspiring, I love Wile E. Coyote’s elaborate schemes and how road runner is just a blur most of the time. For this piece I wanted to slow him down, but he’s still too fast" 10. Charlotte Mei : Gossamer "K.O" 11. Thomas Slater : Road Runner "Maybe roadrunner has been taking extra lengths to make the most of his speed and has joined the ranks of disgraced athletes. Would Coyote would have caught him otherwise?" 12. Laura Callaghan : Pepé Le Pew "My piece was created in pen and ink and digitally coloured. It's a riff on the archetypal sleaze-bag Pepé Le Pew. Perhaps this is the female incarnation of the character, or maybe his relentless unwanted advances have resulted in him becoming a garment? Either way, it stinks"
